To start, let’s first discuss what tongue and groove is. Tongue and groove is a method of fitting similar objects together, edge to edge–in this case, wood. Tongue and Groove Square Edge is a version of tongue and groove siding that Reliance offers with a clean and rustic look. A square edge means that the four sides are literally the square shape. There are other types of edges of tongue and groove so make sure to specify when selecting yours.  “Square Edge” T&G pattern allows the wood to butt up to each other. Sometimes referred to as a “butt joint,” Square Edge removes the larger gaps that the Nickel joint or V-Joint give. This type of timber is very popular for our interior wall boards.
